taker of pictures | photoshop junkie

Carmen Kern is a photographer/writer from Canada who is currently living and soaking up the sunshine in Phoenix, AZ.  Her photography is a way for her to slow down and notice life.  Whether it is the graffiti by an unknown artist, the contrast of light and dark on a city street or twenty pairs of socks having on the clothesline behind a nondescript house.  These are the images that tell a story.  They tell us about life.  Carmen’s photos remind us to slow down and see, to notice that the ordinary is more than it seems.

Jake enjoys sleeping, eating, and other outdoor activities such as going for walks, swimming in lakes and rivers, and chasing a headless squeaky thing. His down time is spent laying at the feet of Carmen Kern while she works.  He has also been known to bark at nothing in particular. Jake’s specialty is losing hair, eating off the floor, and giving a shameful yet very cute look after he’s done something wrong.

Most of my images can be found on Fine Arts America where you can order prints, canvases and custom merch like notebooks, puzzles, shower curtains, and many other items. Click on the link to see my portfolio.
