the month of the diptych

Diptych: a work made up of two matching parts.  I’ll admit it, I didn’t really know what this was until a few months ago.   I noticed that many of the photo blogs I’ve frequented had been showing these amazing pieces of art.  It hit me right away that this was yet another way to tell a story.  Photo’s that go together to tell us something more complete than just one standing alone.

Interesting, as this has come about as I’m working on a few series of photos, ones with a common feel or theme.  Here is a challenge for you, try your own.  Take your camera out for a walk, see what you can find.  It can be your phone camera or whatever you have.  Tell a story of your day, of an hour or a few minutes from your life.  I’m interested…
